He is also a Director and President of the Nikkei Place Foundation, a fundraising Foundation for some Japanese Canadian groups in BC, and Director and Secretary of the Japanese Canadian Legacies Society, a Society set up to disburse money from the BC Government to Japanese Canadian Projects and a Director and Secretary of Nikkei Seniors Healthcare and Housing Society, a society with an assisted living centre and an independent living centre for Japanese Canadians in Burnaby, BC.
